Dr. Nathan SargentDr. Nathan Sargent

Dr. Nathan Sargent attended Abilene Christian University  where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology in 1996.

In 2001, Dr. Sargent went on to become the 5th member of his family to earn a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the #2 ranked Veterinary Medical School in the country: Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

After graduation Dr. Sargent was fortunate to have the opportunity to practice for 3½ years with his Dad, who was the owner of a veterinarian clinic in Denver, Colorado, before making the move to Prosper, Texas in December, 2004. He practiced as an Associate Veterinarian in the Prosper area for 5 years but always had the goal of owning his own practice.

After months of praying, planning and hard work, the dream of owning his own practice became a reality!

As a local Prosper resident, Dr. Sargent is eager and excited to serve his community by providing the highest quality in veterinary care. Practicing the very best medicine with the utmost integrity and offering excellent customer service that will far exceed your expectations.

In Dr. Sargent’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, their two sons, Jonathan and Bryan, and their two Golden Doodles, Ruby and Elvis!

When she isn’t working she enjoys long walks with her hubby, Ed, and their precious fur kids “Loki,” “Quasar” and “Nadia!” She also enjoys eating seafood, learning about Young Living Essential Oils, exercising and living a healthy lifestyle!

Endearingly nicknamed “MeeMaw” by some of her co-workers, Janet is our wonderful front desk receptionist with a heart of GOLD and one of the first of our PPC crew that you will meet when you come in or call for your appointments. She has a true talent for helping others and does a fantastic job of getting to know our clients and their pets personally, greeting them by name when they enter the clinic. Jesus is her hero and she is a wonderful example of His love and a blessing to everyone she meets.

Fun Fact: Janet has been “spelunking”… how cool! We are beyond thankful for Janet! She has been an invaluable member of our PPC family for all these years… and looking forward to many, many more!

KaraKara

Veterinary Technician

When she’s not watching reruns of “Friends” or her favorite movie Lord of the Rings, cheering for Aggie football or reading her Bible from cover to cover, our beautiful Kara (aka “Kara Bear”) is busy serving our clients at PPC with a TON of compassionate care!

Kara has been with us since 2011, just a few months after we opened our doors! She started working at PPC while in high school as an intern and we loved her so much we asked her to stay! She worked after school, summers and during school holidays all the way through high school AND college! Kara has grown so much over the many years that we have worked with her~ first as an intern then kennel staff, tech assistant and has become an amazing Veterinary Technician. She has done it all! She is back with us full time right now after earning her degree from Texas A&M this Spring.

Smart, energetic and kind, Kara works hard to make sure everyone is well taken care of at PPC! She is most passionate about her faith, her family and her friends.

Fun Fact: Kara knows how to do chiropractic stretches on a horse! She has a sweet pup, “Maggie,” who has experienced the benefits of Young Living Essential oils first hand and that is one of the reasons why Kara has enjoyed learning more about alternative medicine. Her newest fur kid “Chloe” was rescued and nursed back to health after being hit by a car. Kara is a joy to work with and PPC wouldn’t be the same without her!
